Friday Fav

I’ve been mulling over what this week’s Friday Fav would be and, well, there are several…..

The Father’s Day message by Pastor Herbert

The Fathers Day Tribute Video

Dinner with my family to celebrate Father’s Day and Matt & Christy’s 9th Anniversary…..

and last but most certainly not the least……

coming home last night to Keith cooking bacon for BLT’s….He looked good with a spatula in his hand and the smell of bacon frying was a.w.e.s.o.m.e.

As you can see, it’s been a good week and choosing one thing was too difficult…I enjoyed them all.

Happy Saturday’s Eve!
Enjoy your weekend!

Friday Fav

My Friday Fav this week is this little book, Capture His Heart, by Lysa TerKeurst.  There is a wealth of information in that little book and it has helped me understand Keith’s needs and desires. I picked it up this week to ‘refresh my memory’. It relit the fire in our marriage once before. So why not read again, right?  😉

It is a well read and colorfully underlined book.  It is amazing how much information and truth is in there.

I would have to say that the theme throughout the book is how important it is for me to have a right and solid relationship with God.  I had to be in right relationship with Him in order to grow my relationship with Keith.

Oh, I could tell you all about it…but, I think you should grab it and read it for yourself.

Happy Saturday’s eve!

Friday Fav

This is my command: ‘Be strong and courageous!
Do not be afraid or discouraged.
For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go’.
Joshua 1:9

Several times this week during my quiet time I was directed to this scripture. So this morning when I was thinking about what my Friday Fav post should be about, I naturally thought of this scripture.

It has been on my mind and in my heart all week.

When I arrived at work and started going through my emails, I came across a devotion from Proverbs 31 Ministries, by Leah Dipascal and there it was again…Joshua 1:9.

Coincidence…no way.

God is reminding me that He has plans…His plans…that there is nothing ahead that He won’t be there to be my guide.  A reminder to not let my insecurities keep me from all He has!

Fastening my seatbelt!
Ready for the ride of my life!

Oh Happy Day!

It’s Friday!  The eve to Saturday….but I took the day off…so let the weekend begin!

My Friday Fav is the encouraging meeting we had on Wednesday about the upcoming August launch of our 3rd campus!  Keith and I walked away refreshed and encouraged! We are ready to be a part of bringing Christ and His church to this new location!

You can read about the evening on my post from yesterday…..

But, for now, I bid you adieu…

It’s time for one more cup of coffee while I wait for the sun to rise…then out to get my veggies planted! Better late than never!

Have a great weekend!

Friday Fav

It wasn’t difficult for me to decide my Friday Fav for this week…it would have to be from Monday~

The alarm went off…I slapped it as usual, moaned to myself about it being Monday, sat up, put my feet on the floor and this scripture came to my mind:

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will
reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Ephesians 6:9

Let’s just say, I got a spring in my step and a joy in my heart!  I not only had a great Monday, but a great week…standing on this scripture!

Hope you have big plans for the weekend.  We’ve planned a trip to the zoo with some of our favorite lil people this weekend!

Happy Friday!
Never Give Up!

Friday Fav!

This week my Friday fav is a quote I found and used in an post earlier this week. I wish I could remember where I found the quote. (Senior moment) Going to start taking notes when I borrow things!

“Who knows what the world may lose if you don’t continue
forward with the plans God has for your life and
the dreams He has placed within you.” (unknown)

This inspires me to keep moving forward and not give up.  When the times are tough or I am feeling weary I remember that God has a plan. It may not always be an easy road, but His promises to take care of me are always fresh on my heart.  I don’t want to miss out on what he has for me…so I continue to move forward.

Happy Saturday’s Eve!

Looking forward to another relaxing weekend with the one I love!

Saturday Eve

This is one of my favorite days…it’s the start of  the weekend and this one promises to be relaxing.  Our biggest plans are to finish watching the final 2 seasons of 24 because the new season begins on Monday! Oh my, we have a lot to watch….so date night (tonight) is going to be a 24 (Jack Bauer) marathon!  Ha!  We are excited for the new season and will be ‘celebrating’ and watching with some friends on Monday!  Par-tee!

My Friday Fav this week is this picture of our 25th Anniversary vow renewal 5 years ago.  I posted it for my #tbt on Instagram yesterday and the memories of that day made me smile all day long! If you did the math you realize this year we will be married 30~t.h.i.r.t.y~ years. It doesn’t seem possible! Time flies when you are having fun!  And I am pretty sure I am not old enough! I love this man and am blessed to have him in my life!

Whatever is good and perfect comes
down to us from God our Father~
James 1:17a

Happy Saturday Eve!

Have a good one!
