I’ve spent quite a bit of time going back over memories, fun family times and sentimental moments these last few weeks. I guess you can say I’ve been feeling nostalgic.

Today I found myself reading some of my older blog posts. I came across one I posted about my sweet lil man, Emery, and his dislike for haircuts!  I laughed a little, then when I looked at the picture of him winking at me…yep, tears came. I love this lil guy so much!

It probably won’t mean anything to the average reader, but if you are interested in reading it, click here.

Have a blessed Friday!

P.S. He doesn’t mind a haircut these days!

Friday Fav

It’s been a while since I posted anything for my Friday Fav. So here you go….

I have viewed a ton of 1st day of school pictures this week on Facebook and Instagram, all of them were adorable. So, I decided this morning to give a big shout out to my favorite lil people with their 1st day of school pics!

I can’t believe they are 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders! What? What happened to summer and who said they could grow so fast!

I am excited to hear all about their first days in a new grade, with a new teacher and new friends. The boys are bus riders now…remember those days?

Treasuring the moments of their lives!

I absolutely, positively, love being their Nana.

P.S.  I borrowed these pictures from their parents!

Moments that make me smile

Last Friday our daughter and granddaughters spent the night, yay for faulty air conditioners! Rylee slept with Nana and Papa…yes, I was over-the-top happy about that.  There is going to be a day when she is ‘too old’ to do that and I take advantage of every moment til that day arrives.

We enjoyed some hammock time, I showed them my veggie garden and we spent some time catching up.

Jaedyn played waitress and delivered up some yummy make believe food!

It was good to chat with Michele and get caught up on wedding plans and all the things we still have to do and the little amount of time we have left! (trying not to panic)

We finished out our evening with the movie Soul Surfer…their suggestion, not ours, along with several buckets of yummy buttery popcorn.  They have both seen this movie before, but Jaedyn is quite interested in the movie and Bethany’s story, so she was happy when Papa made a quick run to the video store to get it.

Saturday morning Rylee and I enjoyed some snuggle and quiet time on the couch with Molly. Molly loves when the little people visit.  We talked about a lot of things and just enjoyed some time together. I was getting up to get another cup of coffee and she asked if she could have some ‘coffee’ too.  We used to do this a few years ago when I was helping out with getting them to school. Made me smile!

I enjoyed the time we had together, but I have to say that my coffee time with Rylee is tucked away in my Nana Memories archives!

Blessed to be a Nana!

Friday Fav

This week’s Friday Fav…well…it made this Nana’s heart melt!

I mean, when you get up for your first day back to work after a 5 day vacation to look at your checking account… assess the damage! Ha…who wouldn’t just melt to find this on their keyboard! Made my morning!  Yep, Nana Memories!
I am blessed with wonderful–amazing–children, who have been blessed with awesome spouses. Those awesome unions have produced my loveable, huggable & kissable grandchildren!  The ultimate reward for being a parent!
Happy Saturday eve!
